Earlier this year, Finlandia University was the proud recipient of a collection of artwork by the preeminent Finnish American artist Gerald Matthew Immonen (1936-2011). Immonen’s ties to Finlandia go back decades as once a featured artist in the Finlandia University Annual Contemporary Finnish American Artist Series Exhibition, the longest-running exhibit series in the United States celebrating the accomplishments of Finnish American artists.

Perreault (’18) elected to CLK Foundation Board of Directors

Nathan Perreault, an Assistant Professor of Management with Finlandia’s International School of Business (ISB), was recently elected to the Calumet-Laurium-Keweenaw (CLK) Foundation Board of Directors. HANCOCK, MI – Finlandia University Gallery will present the 31st Annual Contemporary Finnish American Artist Series Exhibition featuring the artwork of Natalie Salminen Rude at the Finlandia University Gallery, located in the Finnish American Heritage Center (FAHC), Hancock from December 4, 2021 to February 4, 2022.

North Wind Books to celebrate 30th Anniversary with sales on Dec. 2 & 3

On the shores of Lake Superior in 1991, Patricia Van Pelt opened the Museum Shop at The Eagle Harbor Lighthouse.  Patricia’s shop would eventually outgrow the building space.  She would relocate the shop to her home in Eagle Harbor and rename it North Wind Books.

At Finlandia, Giving Tuesday means giving back to students. Today, all donations received go directly toward Finlandia’s annual scholarship programs to help provide affordable, quality higher education to all. Currently, 100% of all domestic full-time Finlandia students receive aid.
