Finlandia University’s annual Campus Read programming is back for the 2017-18 academic year, and will begin Wednesday, September 20 at 7 p.m. with author Dr. James Livingston. The entire community is invited to the event, which should feature a provocative and stimulating discussion based on his recent book, No More Work.

Photos: Closing reception for Dora Jung’s “Painter in Linen”

On Thursday night, the Finlandia community was introduced to the late Finnish artist Dora Jung by collector Tuomas Sopanen. Sopanen gave a spirited look through Jung’s entire career, from her innovation, to her work through world conflict and eventually into modern minimilsm. The exhibit, titled “Painter in Linen” featured more than 60 textiles and was up from July 27 through Thursday’s closing reception. Soup & Meet with Campus Ministry continues next Wednesday

At 5 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month Finlandia University Campus Ministry will be hosting Soup & Meet at Chapel of St. Matthew. This is a great opportunity to gather with your peers at the university, as well as enjoy a delicious meal, including soup and refreshments.

New Spirit Scholarship offers unique opportunity for FinnU students

If you’ve got school spirit, are interested in helping out at many events on campus, and could use another scholarship to help make college more affordable, the financial aid office at Finlandia University has a great opportunity for you.

The department is launching what they call the Spirit Scholarship, a $500 opportunity for students interested in brining school spirit to campus events.

Finlandia ranked among 30 most affordable online bachelor’s in nursing degrees from private colleges

Finlandia University has been ranked among the 30 most affordable online bachelor’s in nursing degrees from private colleges by Best Degree Programs. The ranking was published on the organization’s website in August.

Finlandia University was ranked 26th. This ranking was created using the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database.
