The Rise Together Scholarship is a need-based scholarship that, when combined with federal and state scholarships and grants, covers a student’s entire tuition costs and aligns with Finlandia’s mission of providing affordable higher education to all. The Rise Together Scholarship can be applied to the first two years of study at Finlandia. After the completion of 56 credit hours and/or an associates degree, students can easily transfer into a bachelor’s degree program and become eligible for the Yooper or Sisu Finnish Strong Transfer Scholarship, which can be renewed on an annual basis. Students must meet all criteria to be eligible for the Rise Together Scholarship. This scholarship is renewable, but students are not eligible to receive additional institutional scholarships. You can learn more about the Rise Together Scholarship at finlandia.edu/freetuition.
If you aren’t eligible for the Rise Together or Finnish Strong Transfer Scholarship, our Traditional Scholarship Packages are meant for you! All scholarship amounts are per academic year.
Our scholarship packages are offered based on GPA and where you’re from. It’s really that simple!
First, read through our traditional scholarship types below, and then find your scholarship package. Don’t forget to check out our Scholarship Add-Ons below!
All students transferring into Finlandia with a 2.0 GPA or higher and a minimum of 6 college credits are eligible for one of our Finnish Strong Transfer Scholarships. (Dual Enrollment credits must be from Finlandia University)
These competitive scholarships require an additional application and could be combined with other scholarships above. They will be posted here as they become available.
Finlandia University recommends that all students expand their awareness of available financial aid. The following websites are good starting points for learning more and for starting the application process.
Listed below are some private scholarship opportunities that students may also want to look into. Each scholarship and the guidelines/eligibility restrictions of that scholarship are set by that private scholarship organization/company. We recommend students to never pay for any scholarship opportunity. If you have a scholarship you would like to see added to this list, please send information to our financial aid staff.
