Soup & Meet with Campus Ministry continues next Wednesday

September 14, 2017

At 5 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month Finlandia University Campus Ministry will be hosting Soup & Meet at Chapel of St. Matthew. This is a great opportunity to gather with your peers at the university, as well as enjoy a delicious meal, including soup and refreshments.

This year the event will feature celebrity chefs most weeks, including Denise Vandeville from the international School of Art & Design, Alana Nolan from North Wind Books and more! Vandeville will be the guest for the next meeting, scheduled for September 20.

Immediately following dinner there will be a candlelight service of “Holden Evening Prayer,” which is an evening Vespers service. It mostly consists of music with prayer. It’s a calming way to end the night.

Chefs Wanted

There is still one date open for any faculty, staff or alumni interested in sharing their culinary skills to provide a Wednesday meal and conversation for what has typically been around 5-10 people. The Chapel’s full kitchen can be utilized. If interested, please contact Soren Schmidt and to discuss plans.
