Collin Saint-Onge previews Finlandia Preview Day

September 15, 2017

This week on Finlandia Fridays, Finlandia alumnus and admissions officer Collin Saint-Onge talks about Finlandia Preview Day. Starting at 10 a.m. on October 7, Finlandia Preview Day will take prospective students around the campus to see what life is like at Finlandia. The day will start in the Jutila Center, where students will have the chance to talk to financial aid and admissions. Students will have the opportunity to view the International School of Art and Design, before being shuttled to main campus for the rest of the tour.

A notable feature on all campus tours is Finlandia Hall, home to FinnU’s residential life. Finlandia’s dorms are larger than most college dorms, and are set up in a suite style, meaning two rooms are connected by a bathroom. Along with suites, the cafeteria is conveniently located downstairs for residents. Recently renovated, the cafeteria is a place where all students, not just residents, can grab a meal and enjoy being a part of the Finlandia community.

After touring campus, everyone is invited to the home football game, where the football team will be taking on Robert Morris-Peoria at 1 p.m. The participants of Finlandia Preview Day will receive free admission to the game, and are invited to a tailgate that will be put on by the university. To end the day, Finlandia will be giving away a $500 scholarship to one lucky individual who attends Preview Day.
