Finlandia University’s Student Nurses’ Association is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, April 17 from 3-7 p.m. in the Blood Mobile in front of Finlandia Hall. No pre-registration is required and all blood types are being accepted.
Those interested in donating are encouraged to prepare by:
Eating a big breakfast.
Dinking plenty of water the day before, just before and after donating.
Taking it easy after donating; avoid strenuous activity and drink plenty of fluids.
Remember to bring a photo I.D when donating!
During the summer of 2019 six Finlandia University students will travel to London to explore and compare the chronic disease management models and methods used in the USA and UK.
Students will visit healthcare facilities to learn about strategies used to improve health of chronically ill populations. They will also visit Oxford City to explore the influence of research done by Oxford University in this field.
