Leading the Pride is back and talking with Director of Strategic Initiatives at the Upper Peninsula Health Plan, Brigitte LaPointe (’07). LaPointe is originally from Baraga where she grew up in the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. She ultimately came to Finlandia to study in the Physical Therapist Assistant program and play for the women’s basketball team.
Leading the Pride continues this month by talking with Austrian Lukas Alberer (’08). Alberer, a Sports Management major and former hockey player for the Lions, currently works at Johnson & Johnson-Ethicon in Austria as a Business Development Manager.

Students, alumni and friends of Finlandia are invited to this pep rally style event where we’ll celebrate all of Finlandia’s athletic teams and get excited for the Homecoming 2018 festivities. Two students will be crowned Riku’s Royalty and students will learn Finlandia cheers, the Finlandia fight song, be introduced to the 2018-19 athletic teams, and create signs for the Finlandia Lion’s football game vs. Kalamazoo on Saturday.
