WHY A MARKETING CERTIFICATE?
Whether you want to grow your small business or enhance your skills as a marketer, the Marketing certificate will give you the foundation needed to successfully market in today’s rapidly changing business landscape. E-learners will be able to originate skills in marketing for a business to build employer financials and secure the future of the organization. Projects completed in the courses can directly be applied to your small business. Taught by marketing professionals in the field, the courses provide a sample of what students who complete a full degree program experience.
LAYOUT OF THE CLASS
The Marketing certificate is designed with the working individual in mind. It consists of four online classes that explore the world of marketing further.
Each certificate consists of four five-week courses that can be completed on one’s own schedule. E-learners may take up to two courses simultaneously and complete the certificate in as few as 10 weeks. E-learners may also elect to take one course at a time to complete the certificate in 20 weeks.
Finlandia’s online certificates are competitive with the current market. Each certificate is $1,596 total ($399 per course), with no additional charge for textbooks. Not interested in a full certificate but want to brush up on a specific skill? Courses are available á la carte! Simply select the course(s) you want to take and checkout.
Certificate programs are not eligible for Federal Student Aid.
Principles of Marketing
Covers marketing principles, including classification of goods, retailing, wholesaling, physical distribution, personal selling, advertising, pricing, market forecasting and research, and the economic and legal environment in which a business enterprise functions. The emphasis is on small businesses.

Digital Marketing
Explores marketing in a digital world focusing on inbound marketing strategy and tactics including mobile communications, search engine optimization, new media marketing, online digital display advertising, video creation, search advertising, email marketing, social listening and engagement

Integrated Marketing Communication
This course prepares students to develop a marketing, advertising strategy for their business endeavors or for a small business where they may work. Practical techniques, as opposed to theory, will be presented and discussed.

Marketing for Small Business
Incorporates current theory and practice relating to starting, managing, and marketing small firms; provides comprehensive coverage of critical small business issues, using real-world examples to help students understand how to apply business concepts for small companies; incorporates material to help students explore small business issues with respect to marketing, financial management, and human resource management.
