Finlandia to Introduce Esports as varsity sport in Fall 2020

Finlandia University Athletics is excited to host a new varsity sport on campus beginning in fall 2020, esports. Esports – competitive, organized, multiplayer, online gaming – is the world’s fastest growing sport and has begun to explode in popularity at the collegiate level.

2019 FinnU Homecoming Schedule of Events

The official schedule of events for the 2019 Finlandia Homecoming Week on Sept. 30-Oct. 5 has been set. The official theme of the week will be Welcome to the Jungle. Events will include a spirit week, Riku’s Royalty voting, various sporting events and the annual parade which will go from Quincy Green to McAfee field on Saturday morning.

Shawn Wickersheim Memorial Fund now accepting donations

New Wickersheim Student Lounge to open in August

Friends and family of the late Shawn Wickersheim (’08) are coming together to memorialize Shawn through the formation of the Shawn Wickersheim Memorial Fund. Wickersheim passed away at the age of 29 in August of 2015.
