The Employee Benefits Fair is Wednesday, November 8, 2017, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jutila Center.

November is open enrollment period for Finlandia University, with that comes the annual Finlandia Employee Benefits Fair. The fair is on the 3rd of the Jutila Center in the Chapel, Room 323.

Finlandia welcomes acclaimed poet, Kelly Tsai

On Thursday, November 9, nationally known and award-winning poet, Kelly Tsai, will present in the Jutila Center, Room 323, at 8 p.m, as part of the Finlandia It’s On Us event series. Tsai is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work as a performance poet has been featured at over 700 venues worldwide.

Finlandia names Rob Boss as head coach of football program

Finlandia University Athletic Director Curtis Wittenberg today announces the promotion of Rob Boss to head coach of the university’s football program, effective immediately.

“Rob has shown incredible leadership in his one year at Finlandia, and we’re confident his abilities, passion and experience are what our football program needs to take the next step,” Athletic Director Curtis Wittenberg said. “His passion for football in northern Michigan will be a huge asset for our program, our university and our community.”

Bruce Crossing-based filmmaker Kristin Ojaniemi traveled to Finland earlier this year to conduct interviews for her latest documentary. If she goes to Finland next year, it could be for a screening of her film.
