Announcing the $1,000 Riku Scholarship!

It’s official! 

The Riku Scholarship is officially back, and two lucky students have the opportunity to seek out a $1,000 scholarship to don the “mane” during the Fall 2022 semester. 

Riku F. Lion is the true spirit of Finlandia University and for nearly two decades “The Big Cat” has been displaying his sisu across the nation. The official mascot of Finlandia Athletics, FinnU’s “mane” man shows his school spirit at other campus events, too.

Paver joins FinnU as new Social Media Specialist

Deb Paver has joined Finlandia’s Marketing & Communications Department as the University’s new Social Media Specialist. While higher education is a fresh industry for her, marketing and social media have been her realm of work for the past five years. Along with previous photo, design and marketing freelance work, Paver most recently served as marketing manager for a brewery near her hometown of Grand Rapids.

Business Office Moves to Jutila Center

The Finlandia University Business Office has moved from Old Main to the seventh floor of the Jutila Center. The Business Office is comprised of the Chief Financial Officer, Gary Black, accountants Cyril FoxPetrov and Albert Hammond, and administrative assistant and purchaser Janine Notke.
