Federal Student Loan Information During Covid-19

Current students and alumni who have outstanding student loans have a slight reprieve for the next few months thanks to new orders from the Trump Administration.

The Trump Administration is allowing federal student loan borrowers to take a break from making monthly payments, without incurring interest or penalties until the end of September.

Trump’s CARES Act is allowing borrowers to opt out of paying their federal student loans until September 30, 2020.

College of Health Sciences Donates PPE to Local Organization for Covid-19 Efforts

The Finlandia University College of Health Sciences is assisting in the fight against Covid-19 by donating supplies, usually reserved for class instruction, to local organizations. The CHS donated over 2800 gloves and 170 masks in addition to caps, gowns and hand sanitizer to Gardenview Assisted Living & Memory in Calumet as they work to protect their residents and staff.

Brandon Bell Hired as New Director of Campus Safety & Security

Brandon Bell joined Finlandia University’s Campus Safety and Security this past February as the new director. He will be joining the Finlandia staff with 13 years of service with the United States Air Force. His most recent position includes supporting the MQ-9 Reaper Remotely Piloted Aircraft as a meteorologist for the Arizona Air National Guard.
