The Finlandia Business Professionals of America (BPA) is inviting all local high school and college students to attend its Business Day event on Thursday February 13 from 10am-2pm at the Finnish American Heritage Center.

The day is part of Business Professionals of America week, which seeks to raise awareness about BPA and encourage more students to become involved.

“BPA Week, February 10-14, is celebrated around the country where members of the Business Professionals of America host events where students can meet business professionals and learn more about business careers,” said FinnU BPA President Dylan Underwood. Underwood, who hails from Michigan City, Ind. Is currently a business major in his third year.

FinnU’s Business Day will focus on introducing students to various careers in business and include professional head shots, a group case study, guest speakers and a keynote address from Dan Jamison, CEO of MTEC SmartZone.

“Our main goal is to spark interest in students who attend about business careers and why one may be just right for them,” said Underwood.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Lunch will be provided. For more information or to register, please contact the Finlandia International School of Business at business@finlandia.edu or 906-487-7513. The deadline for registration is Friday, February 7.
