Finn Fair 2022 is coming soon to Finlandia University’s campus. On November 3, from 3:00 – 6 p.m. in Mannerheim Central, students will have the opportunity to explore clubs and organizations offered at FinnU. This year, a raffle will be held with prizes awarded to those in attendance.

Diversity Dinner menu brings world of taste to Finlandia Hall Cafe on April 20

A Finlandia tradition that is sponsored by the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, Diversity Dinner features dishes that are made from recipes submitted by FinnU students, faculty and staff. This event celebrates the unique backgrounds of the diverse Finlandia student body and highlights a different culture for each dish.

Sawadogo joins Copper Country Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors

Finlandia welcomes Luke Morrill as V.P. for Student Development and Dean of Students

Finlandia is pleased to welcome Ed.D. Luke Morrill to lead its Student Affairs staff as new Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students. Luke brings with him 17 years of experience working in student affairs and higher education.

Student Affairs welcome Alex Hilterbrand as Director of Student Engagement

Alex Hilterbrand, FinnU’s new Director of Student Engagement, was welcomed into the student affairs staff this past November 2021. Although this will be Alex’s first experience working in higher education, her background and education play important roles as to why she has been selected to help with expanding student engagement at Finlandia.

Upcoming student events provide opportunity to meet others and relax

sign up for open gym time at the hirvonen gym Student Senate, in partnership with FinnU staff and faculty, are working to provide students with an opportunity to use the Hirvonen Gym for non-contact sports open gym. Students can play games like HORSE and Around the World, but cannot engage in 2-on-2. Students will be asked to sign up in advance, initially, to help with capacity limits. Volunteer with the Great Bear Chase this March

The UP Health System Great Bear Chase Ski Marathon is looking for volunteers to assist with its annual event. The Great Bear Chase includes three distances, with separate races and starts for classic and freestyle: 50k, 25k, and 10k. The Great Bear Chase also includes a 50km skiathlon (25km classic and 25km freestyle). New Student Health Clinic is Officially Open
