Voter Registration Day Comes to FinnU on Sept. 22

On September 22, 2020, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters well in advance of Election Day this November.

Finlandia University Gallery will present the exhibition Who Am I Without Her, Who is She Without Us? by Chicago artist Rita C. Obelleiro at the Finlandia University Gallery, located in the Finnish American Heritage Center (FAHC), Hancock from September 2 to October 9, 2020. Students: Don’t Forget to Complete Your Census by Sept. 30

Whether you live on campus or at home with family, you need to be counted for the 2020 Census. You should count yourself where you live and sleep most of the time. For a vast majority of Finlandia students, this is in Hancock, MI. Relatives you stay with during breaks should not count you in their census questionnaire.

Calumet grad, Lia Tervo, named 2020 Brule Scholarship recipient

Calumet graduate, Lia Tervo has been selected as the 2020 Brule Scholarship recipient by Finlandia University’s International School of Art & Design. The Brule Scholarship, funded by Dave and Elsa Brule, is a $20,000 competitive art scholarship for new students. Tervo plans to major in Graphic Design, which she hopes will lead to a flexible work-from-home career that will allow her to travel.
