J.P. Morgan Manager and Recent Grad, Dan Weldon (’17), Makes a Case for Liberal Arts

Dan Weldon (‘17) is an ambitious man. As a Regulatory Controls Manager at J.P. Morgan in Chicago, he is showing that a degree in sociology can be beneficial in the business world.

Weldon, originally from northern Chicago, transferred to Finlandia University after spending two years majoring in business at the University of Pittsburgh.

Leading the Pride is back with Part 2 of Clem Papineau’s story. In Part 1, Papineau discussed his career in the military and law enforcement and his current job as a Cold Case Homicide Detective with Little Rock, Arkansas Police. Papineau attended Suomi College in the mid-70’s but transferred after his first year; a choice he says he’s always regretted.

Leading the Pride Solves Crimes with Cold Case Homicide Detective, Clem Papineau Pt. 1

Finlandia’s alumni podcast Leading the Pride is back this month and solving crimes with Cold Case Homicide Detective Clem Papineau. Unlike past alumni featured on Leading the Pride, Papineau attended Suomi College from 1975-76 but transferred before completing his associates degree in Criminal Justice.

Finlandia Homecoming set for October 3-5, 2019

Finlandia’s Homecoming 2019 date has officially been set. Student activities will take place beginning the week of September 30, with specialized alumni events October 3-5.

Leading the Pride stays close to home with Robin Meneguzzo, NP (’11)

Leading the Pride keeps it close to home this month with local alumna, Robin Meneguzzo, NP (‘11).  Meneguzzo is a Hancock native who graduated from FinnU with a degree in nursing. She went on to pursue her Master’s degree online from the University of Cincinnati. Huey, who is originally from Folsom, Calif. and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing, now serves as a Senior Commercial Project Manager for Siemens. Siemens is a multi-national and multi-billion dollar organization that specializes in electrification, digitization and automation. New Finlandia Alumni Directory allows Finlandia/Suomi alumni to reconnect

Finlandia alumni now have the opportunity to connect with former classmates, current students and other alumni across the country thanks to the new Finlandia Alumni Directory. The directory comes as a result of the 2018 Alumni Engagement survey.
