The Finlandia University Business Office has moved from Old Main to the seventh floor of the Jutila Center. The Business Office is comprised of the Chief Financial Officer, Gary Black, accountants Cyril FoxPetrov and Albert Hammond, and administrative assistant and purchaser Janine Notke.

Lauren Huested and Jason Dart Join Admissions Office

Lauren Huested and Jason Dart joined Finlandia’s admissions team as enrollment officers in the beginning of October. 

Both Huested and Dart spent the earlier years of their lives in southern Michigan, with Dart being from Lansing and moving to Virginia when he was 13, and Huested growing up in the town of Newago, about an hour away from Grand Rapids. Flu Shot Clinic

All students and employees are invited to the annual Finlandia University Flu Shot Clinic on Monday, October 12 from 3 to 5 p.m. in Nikander 14A.

This event brings flu shots to campus in a joint effort between Finlandia nursing students, the Finlandia Wellness Committee and the Western U.P. Health Department. Employees with Finlandia’s insurance will be able to get the shot for free. Other insurances may be accepted, those interested should bring their insurance card [...]

Finlandia Competes with other U.P. Universities in ‘Fight the Flu’ Challenge

In an effort to further protect our campus communities throughout the region, the Center for Rural Health at Northern Michigan University is bringing universities throughout the U.P. together to “Fight the Flu”. Students, staff and faculty from Finlandia University, Lake Superior State University, Michigan Technological University and Northern Michigan University are competing to see which school can get the highest percentage of its total population vaccinated against the flu.

Finlandia Prepares for Fall 2020

FinnU Moves to Phase 2 of the Return to Work Safely Plan

Finlandia University entered Phase 2 of it’s Back to Work Safely Plan for Employees on Monday, June 15. Finlandia employees who cannot work from home can return to work in a limited capacity after completing a mandatory Covid-19 and MIOSHA training in addition to a daily Covid-19 health screening online. The trainings can be accessed in the employee’s ADP portal. The health screening will be emailed to all employees daily.
