Continuing with the Homecoming celebration, students and alumni are invited to help clean out the attic of the Servant Leadership House (formerly the Robinson House), which will be used as a communal space for guests and the girls who live in the house. Leading the Pride is back for a second season this month and kicking things off with author Joan Treppa (’83). Treppa, who studied Human Services and is originally from Laurium, is an award-winning author of the true crime book Reclaiming Lives: Pursuing Justice for Six Innocent Men, which details the Monfils 6 case and six men who were wrongfully convicted of murdering their coworker at a Wisconsin paper mill in the 1990s. Kranz is a freelance digital and graphic artist at her own company, Dream Chaser Studios in Goodman, WI. She has recently been involved with the movie series, Northbound, which is filmed in the UP.

Vappu (May Day) Celebration hosted by the Finnish American Heritage Center and Finnish Theme Committee on May 1 from 6-8pm. Community picnic event with light refreshments provided by the Finlandia Dining Services and a dance band. We will also be celebrating the former Hankookin Heikkis. Students, employees, and local community members are all invited.
Finlandia University Admissions and Alumni Relations is introducing a new program that will connect alumni with prospective students. The program, titled Alumni Advocates, will pair a Suomi College or Finlandia alumnus/a with a prospective student with the same academic interests.
