Finlandia is pleased to welcome Ed.D. Luke Morrill to lead its Student Affairs staff as new Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students. Luke brings with him 17 years of experience working in student affairs and higher education.
Morrill attained a Master of Education in Student Affairs Counseling from the University of Nebraska Kearney before attaining his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida. Serving as director of residential life, assistant dean of students, associate dean of students, and vice president for student affairs and dean of students at previous institutions, Morrill’s addition to the university is welcome and valued.
Morrill said he is excited to have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and committed Student Affairs team and also excited to work collaboratively with campus stakeholders to support all aspects of the student experience on campus. When Morrill is not working with his Student Affairs team to support students, you can find him going for a run across the portage bridge and through downtown Houghton, getting a workout in at the Finlandia University Fitness Center, grabbing a meal at the university dining hall and spending time exploring the incredible Upper Peninsula.
Luke Morrill can be reached by email at email@example.com, by phone at (906) 487-7324, or in-person in the admissions office at Mannerheim Hall Room 114.Tags: Campus Security, Center for Vocation & Career, CVC, Dining Services, Director of Student Engagement, Luke Morrill, New Hire, New Hires, Residential Life, student affairs, TRIO SSS
