Finlandia welcomes Luke Morrill as V.P. for Student Development and Dean of Students

Finlandia is pleased to welcome Ed.D. Luke Morrill to lead its Student Affairs staff as new Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students. Luke brings with him 17 years of experience working in student affairs and higher education.

Scott Hendrickson Named Head of Security at Finlandia

Scott Hendrickson was promoted to the Head of Security at Finlandia University. Hendrickson has served as a Security Officer with the University since 2008.

Hendrickson was born and raised in Hancock. He began his degree in Criminal Justice at Red Rocks Community College in Colorado and is currently working on finishing his degree here at Finlandia.

FinnU Receives $47,589 Grant for Campus Security Technology

Finlandia University has received $47,589 from the Michigan Department of State Police and Michigan’s Campus Sexual Assault Grant Program reimbursement grant initiative towards campus security geared toward sexual assault prevention technology upgrades. The University will use these funds to add a new camera security system as well as an RFID card access system and enhance campus LED lighting in Finlandia Hall.

Finlandia increases security measures for residence hall

This summer Finlandia Hall got a much needed update. With the installation of a card reading system on the doors of Finn Hall, students will no longer be issued keys to the building; instead they will tap a newly issued card to grant them access to the resident hall.
