Sieders, who has served as FinnU’s Adjunct Professor in Intermediate Accounting for the past two years, will become the new Instructor of Accounting. Werner will be the Assistant Professor in Marketing.
Both will begin in their new roles in August.
About Laura Sieders
Before coming to Finlandia two years ago as an adjunct, Sieders worked and lived in and around Washington D.C. Past jobs include being an accountant for the Partnership of Public Service, director of accounting at the National Recreation and Parks Association, director of finance at the Reserve Officers Association of the United States and a controller at the International Association of Fire Chiefs. She earned her bachelor of science in business administration from Michigan Tech.
For Sieders, teaching is all about giving back and imparting her wisdom on the next generation.
“I feel like I’ve conquered all the challenges that I wanted to out in the field, and now it’s time to start bringing up the next generation behind me,” she said. “I have a lot of knowledge, a lot of experience and I want to start transferring that into the heads of the accountants coming up behind me.”
