Yooper Night at the Joe back for 2016

Join your fellow Yoopers at the annual Yooper Night at the Joe on Friday, December 9 when the Detroit Red Wings host the Columbus Blue Jackets.

“This is going to be a great night of hockey in downtown Detroit with a great crew of Yoopers,” said Travis Hanson, alumni contact for the university.

The event will include a pre-game social with a cash bar. Tickets are $50 each, and include an invite to the social and a ticket to the game.

Finlandia Fridays Explores the Paloheimo Fellows Program

The ability to build a personal and professional network is a vitally important skill that is rarely taught in business schools.  According to a study by the Adler Group, 85 percent of all jobs are landed via networking. In addition, the contacts made through networking can be valuable connections later on in one’s career.

Nordic Film Series to show biographical drama The Girl King

Queen Christina of Sweden’s reign lasted only a decade in the 17th century, during a time when her nation was engaged in one of the most destructive conflicts in European history. Her story is so intriguing, it captured the interest of several filmmakers.

Auditions open for spring play at Finlandia University

Community and students invited to audition November 1

The laughter on Finlandia University’s campus will be coming from way up high this spring as the university is once again putting on a play – this time it will be Neil Simon’s Laughter on 23rd Floor.

January 2017 class registration starts November 7 

Online class registration for January 2017 begins on November 7. Students need to meet with their academic advisors to get their registration PIN along with picking out their classes. Please keep in mind that if you have any holds on your account (financial aid, admissions, student accounts, etc.,) you will not be able to complete the online registration until your hold has been lifted.
