Diversity Dinner is a long-standing tradition at Finlandia that students, employees and community members alike enjoy annually. It’s a logistical feat that puts students in the kitchen, cooking up dishes from their heritage and culture that they can share with others. Beginning spring semester 2021, the Finlandia Hall Café will offer more meal options for students. Custom-made speciality salad and wrap options will be available, bringing back some semblance of normalcy during the COVID-19 pandemic. The build-your-own salad and deli bar was removed during the early days of the pandemic in the spring 2020 semester as a way to potentially reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Tim Nakkula is back at the helm for Finlandia University Dining Services, moving back into the role of director during the summer break. In addition to Nakkula’s move, the department also welcomes new cook Tom Goldstein, food service workers Avery Neal and Terrance Fuller, and cashiers Ashley Nakkula, Kendra Baril and Clancy Tunstall.
