Finlandia Alumni Board announces Textbook Award recipients

2019 Giving Day Luncheon with Finlandia Alumni Board and Textbook Award recipients.

The Finlandia Alumni Board (FAB) has selected 35 students to receive the 2022 Alumni Board Textbook Awards. Resulting directly from the FAB’s annual Giving Day campaign, the application asked each student to share how the award would help in their academic and personal endeavors.

Students encouraged to apply for $250 textbook awards

Finlandia students who are enrolled for Fall 2022 are encouraged to apply for a $250 Alumni Board Textbook Award. The Award, given in the form of a Textbook Voucher redeemable at North Wind Books, is open to all students who meet the following criteria:

Enrolled full-time for Fall 2022 In good academic standing Degree-seeking

The free application will be open until Friday, July 22 and recipients will be notified prior to the start of the semester.

Finlandia Alumni Board raises $10,000 for student textbooks

On June 14, alumni, friends and family of Finlandia University joined together in support of Giving Day 2022 in an effort to raise money for student textbooks. Determined to find a way to give back to students, Finlandia’s Alumni Board (FAB) started Giving Day in 2019 and has since raised more than $60,000 in its efforts.

Giving Day 2022 starts now!

Join the Finlandia Alumni Board for a day dedicated to raising money to help students pay for textbooks. The Finlandia Alumni Board seeks to raise $10,000 and is looking to share this message to support their cause. To learn more about how to give back to Finlandia’s students, visit finlandia.edu/givingday. Every $250 awards another FinnU student a textbook scholarship!

Support student textbook awards on June 14

Giving Day 2022 is one week away!

The Finlandia Alumni Board is hosting its fourth Giving Day on June 14, 2022. The day is dedicated to raising money to help students pay for textbooks.

In 2021, the FAB helped 49 students with their textbooks and was able to help fund two student support initiatives by donating to Finlandia’s Textbook Justice Library and North Wind Books. The Finlandia Alumni Board will host its fourth annual Giving Day on June 14 this year. Dedicated to helping students pay for textbooks, the Alumni Board’s annual fundraiser supports FinnU students through the way of textbook awards. 10 FinnU Vacc to School Challenge Textbook Award winners announced

In July, Finlandia University announced the FinnU Vacc to School Challenge with the goal of reaching a campus wide vaccination status of 70 percent. As part of this challenge, 10 student textbook awards were announced along with the chance for students to win even more prizes. Semester Textbook Awards open until August 7

The FinnU Vacc to School Challenge, which will provide free textbooks for the semester to 10 Finlandia students, is open to submissions until August 7. To apply, students are asked to submit their full or partial (1st shot) vaccination card. Winners will be announced on August 20 at a live drawing event during Convocation. The award will be redeemable for either semester during the 2021-2022 school year.
