Flu shot clinic for students, employees on Oct. 4

Finlandia’s Student Health Clinic, located in Nikander Room 14A, is hosting its annual flu shot clinic on Oct. 4 from 3 – 5 p.m. Students, employees and their families are welcome to attend. Please bring your insurance cards with you. $40 is payable by cash, check or credit if no insurance is held while a receipt for reimbursement can also be provided.

Finlandia University Gallery to host Zoom reception for Obelleiro exhibit on Sept. 17

Finlandia University Gallery will present the exhibition Who Am I Without Her, Who is She Without Us? by Chicago artist Rita C. Obelleiro at the Finlandia University Gallery, located in the Finnish American Heritage Center (FAHC), Hancock from September 2 to October 9, 2020. Yooper Night at the Joe back for 2016

Join your fellow Yoopers at the annual Yooper Night at the Joe on Friday, December 9 when the Detroit Red Wings host the Columbus Blue Jackets.

“This is going to be a great night of hockey in downtown Detroit with a great crew of Yoopers,” said Travis Hanson, alumni contact for the university.

The event will include a pre-game social with a cash bar. Tickets are $50 each, and include an invite to the social and a ticket to the game.

President Johnson to lead service of remembrance, grief and protest

The Finlandia University community is invited to join in a service of rememberance, grief, and protest on Thursday, June 23 at 12 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Matthew. President Philip Johnson will lead the brief service of readings and meditation.

Medical Assistant students hosting mock clinic with free tests

Finlandia University Certified Medical Assistant students will be hosting a mock clinic on Friday, April 1 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Nikander 30. Anyone interested in receiving free tests/procedures are invited to attend.

The offerings include Vitals (height, weight and BMI), ear cleaning, EKG and Fasting blood tests (including Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL, LDL, Risk Factor, Glucose, Hemoglobin, Urinalysis).
