Mount Ripley Discount Season Pass Available to Students and Employees

Students and employees of Finlandia have the opportunity to buy a season pass to Mont Ripley for $175. Spread the word, ten individuals are needed in order to get the discount. An added bonus is that the discount also applies to family members of those who purchase the pass. Donors Can Double their Gift for FinnU Student Scholarships on Giving Tuesday

Finlandia University hopes to raise $75,000 for student scholarships on Giving Tuesday which takes place on December 3. Finlandia donors can double their gifts this Giving Tuesday, as the university will again have a matching incentive. Board of Trustees President Julie Badel has agreed to match all donations dollar-for-dollar that are raised, up to $20,000, for the second year in a row.

Ceramics Students To Hold Holiday Sale

This year ceramics students will be holding a holiday sale on December 4-6th.  Students will be selling their work and all proceeds made go to the ceramics fund.

These funds are used for trips to the annual National Council on Education in the Ceramic Arts conference and equipment. In the past fundraisers such as these have also helped in purchasing new pottery wheels, electric and gas kilns, as well as the new ventilation system in the clay and glaze mixing [...]

Young Women’s Caucus for Art Hosts Annual Soup and Art Auction

On Saturday, November 16, the Finlandia University chapter of the Young Women’s Caucus for Art will host their annual fundraiser, the Soup & Art Auction.

Each year the club members fundraise to go to the National Women’s Art Caucus conference. This year this conference is in Chicago. The first college chapter of this art-oriented national organization, was founded here at Finlandia.

FinnU Now Offers Test-Optional Admissions

Finlandia University is excited to join other progressive universities by adopting a test-optional admissions policy. As a result, students can opt-out of providing standardized test scores such as the SAT/ACT as part of their admissions decision. Instead, students will be evaluated on high school or college grade point average and rigor of previous coursework.

Diversity Dinner Brings Tastes of World to Finlandia Hall Cafe on Nov. 13

One of Finlandia University’s most loved events is back next week. The Diversity Dinner is set for Wednesday, November 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Finlandia Hall Café.

Nursing Class of 2019 Celebrates 100 Percent NCLEX Pass Rate

Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates from the class of 2019 are celebrating a 100 percent first time pass rate of their National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). This is the second time in four years a graduating class has achieved a 100 percent first time pass rate on the notoriously difficult exam.
