Reminder: Virginia Fund Scholarship Application is due Friday

Applications for the Virginia Fund Scholarship are due Friday, March 10. This annual scholarship is open to freshman women to use during their second year at Finlandia University.

The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement and contribution to campus life. Applications will be reviewed by the Academic Achievement Committee. Students of all majors are invited to apply.

Fundraising event Saturday from 11:30 to 2 at Jutila Center

February Nordic Film Series screening explores Sami heritage

The February showing of the Nordic Film Series at Finlandia University’s Finnish American Heritage Center (FAHC) will feature “Suddenly Sami,” a documentary that follows the director’s personal quest to discover her Sami heritage.

Human trafficking presentation coming to FinnU on January 24

The recently re-established Upper Peninsula Human Trafficking Task Force (UPHTTF) has teamed together with the Department of Justice, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, several Upper Peninsula Law Enforcement Agencies, and other local experts in the field to bring Human Trafficking Community Awareness to the U.P. in a week-long event during Human Trafficking Awareness Month.
