Finlandia Fridays kicks off the weekend with international superstar Antti Holma. Holma, a 34-year-old Helsinki native, gained popularity after appearing on the 2014 season of the Finnish sketch comedy show “Putous.” That same year, he released his debut novel, titled “Järjestäjä,” and followed that with a book of poetry, “Kauheimmat runot” in 2015. Medical Assistant students hosting mock health clinic on March 30

Finlandia University Certified Medical Assistant students are hosting a mock health clinic on Thursday, March 30 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Nikander 30.

All students and employees of Finlandia University are encouraged to attend the mock clinic, which helps students practice critical clinical skills. Those who attend will have the following options available to them.

Blood Pressure Height Weight Body Mass Index (BMI) Ear Cleaning Electrocardiography (EKG) Blood Tests (eight hours of fasting is required for blood tests)

Sophomore nursing class hosting events for Alcohol Awareness Month

Finlandia University’s sophomore nursing class will be having informational booths about alcohol awareness around campus during Alcohol Awareness Month, which is April. The events will be on March 28, April 4, and April 11.

A juried exhibit of artwork by students in the Finlandia University International School of Art & Design (ISAD) is featured at the Finlandia University Gallery, Hancock, from March 30 through April 18, 2017.

Registration for summer and fall 2017 now underway

Registration for fall and summer classes starts this week, including opening on Monday for students with 60+ credits completed and today (Tuesday) for students with 30+ credits. Your first step is to see your academic advisor to get your PIN.  This will allow you to sign up for classes online.  In addition, you will need to clear any holds that may be on your account (billing, financial aid, admissions, etc.).

New club featuring Criminal Justice and Sociology

The newly founded Criminal Justice and Sociology Club (CJSOC) will have their first open meeting Wednesday, March 22 at 4:30 p.m. in Mannerheim Central.
