Give thanks with #GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesday has officially kicked off at Finlandia University, with donations now open for the annual celebration of generosity. All donations received will go toward annual scholarship programs to help make Finlandia affordable for current and future students.

“Most people believe that private education can only be received by those who can afford it. Yet, more than 50% of Finlandia students come from homes of financial need,” Finlandia Advancement stated. “Because of donor support, we are able to offer scholarships to 100% of students, regardless of their financial background. Finlandia holds a unique place in post-secondary education, ensuring that every student with the drive to attend will have financial assistance.”

Believing in student success through expansive learning environments and deliberately focusing on engaging them as whole human beings are just a few ways Finlandia fosters enduring positive change. With initiatives like the Rise Together Free Full Tuition Scholarship and the Finnish Strong Transfer Scholarship, Finlandia strives to make higher education affordable for all and continues to award financial aid to 100 percent of all full-time domestic students.

Finlandia will celebrate #GivingTuesday throughout November by sharing stories from students and alums eager to show their appreciation for scholarship support. Officially marked for November 29, FinnU will accept donations at any point leading up to and on #GivingTuesday at finlandia.edu/givingtuesday.
