Mobile Food Pantry

On Thursday, December 3, Finlandia University will be hosting a Mobile Food Pantry in the parking lot between Old Main and the Chapel of St. Mattew. Organized through Feeding American West Michigan, mobile food pantries help fill the gap in hunger needs in a community, by supplementing the ongoing work of local pantries with much needed fresh produce, meat, and dairy. Day of Wellness Event Schedule

On November 4, most classes on campus will be canceled so students can focus on their mental health, take a breather, and regroup for the final few weeks of the semester. The Day will officially kick off on the evening of November 3 with a bonfire between the Hoover Center and the Chapel of St. Matthew from 7-9p.m.. Dia de Muertos Meal on Nov. 3 to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

On Tuesday, November 3rd, a special Dia de Muertos meal hosted by the women’s softball team will celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. The meal was delayed due to COVID-19 challenges this past month, but the good food and festive spirit will pervade!

Dia de Muertos Meal Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

All Finlandia students, staff, and faculty are invited for a take-out style meal, beginning at 7:15 p.m. and going through 8:15 p.m celebrating Dia de Muertos and Hispanic Heritage Month. The meal will be created by the Women’s Softball Team.

Similar to the weekly All Means All community meals, which take place on Mondays, this special Tuesday meal will be served out of the lower level of the Chapel of St. Matthew.

Student Senate Spike Ball Tournament and Halloween Costume Contest

Dress up in your best Halloween costume and participate in a spike ball tournament hosted by Student Senate on Friday, Oct. 30. Everything will take place in the Paavo Nurmi Gym and you can sign up here to be an individual or a team of two for the tournament, which will start at 7:15 p.m. Judging for the Halloween costume contest will commence at 8 p.m. and the top three costumes will win cash prizes.

Alpha Lambda Delta Chapter Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

This year, Finlandia’s Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) chapter celebrates its fifth anniversary. The ALD is a National Honor Society for First-Year Success and to become a member, students must earn a 3.5 GPA or higher in their first semester at Finlandia.
