Student PTA Club invites you to Massage by Donation April 11

The Finlandia University Student PTA Club will host its second annual Massage by Donation event on Tuesday, April 11. The event is an opportunity for PTA students to use their newly learned skills and raise money for a charitable cause. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated by the club, which has given generously to charitable programs such as Bay Cliff Health Camp, Shoes4Kids and Omega House over the past year.
Finlandia PTA instructor and student club advisor Sami Dowling explained how the donation system works.
“You donate whatever you feel you can and get a 20-minute massage from our students who have taken PTA 235 Massage and Patient Handling Class,” Dowling said. “This is a great way for the students to practice their professional and hands-on skills!”
The sessions are by appointment, and participants should email, call or text Dowling at sami.dowling@finlandia.edu or (906) 284-2814 to schedule their time.
Once your appointment has been scheduled, you will be sent paperwork to fill out to expedite the process upon your arrival. Participants are asked to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled time to be screened by the PT.
