Community invited to Finlandia Homecoming Parade Oct. 6

Finlandia University will be hosting its Bleed Blue Homecoming Parade Saturday Oct. 6 at 11am. The parade will go from Quincy Green beside the Finnish American Heritage Center to McAfee Field to cheer on the Finlandia Lions football program as it takes on Kalamazoo. The parade will feature current students, alumni, faculty, staff and several of Finlandia’s athletic programs. Olivia Myers takes leading role with alumni efforts

Alumni of Finlandia University are set to see a major upgrade in alumni services as the university has welcomed Olivia Myers to the role of Coordinator of External Affairs. Myers is the lead contact for all alumni relations efforts, is assisting with fundraising activities and is the coordinator of the Jutila Center.

Finlandia Alumni Board calls for new members, sets annual meeting for September 28-29

The Finlandia Alumni Board (FAB) is accepting nominations for new members. Interested alumni can self-nominate by emailing Olivia Myers at olivia.myers@finlandia.edu with their name and a few sentences of why they would like to be involved by September 17.

Finlandia University alumni and friends are invited back to campus the weekend of Oct. 4-6 for FinnU’s first ever football Homecoming celebration.

2018 Alumni Engagement Survey now open to Finlandia/Suomi alumni

Finlandia University and the Finlandia Alumni Board are seeking responses for their annual Alumni Engagement Survey.

The survey is open to all Finlandia and Suomi alumni, takes approximately five minutes to complete and will be available until September 24. Those who do fill out the survey can be entered into a drawing for a $25 North Wind Books gift card. When Dawn Kilic leaves her home, it feels like she’s in a utopian globalist world. Her four children, who range from ages 3 to 15, speak several languages, including English, Turkish and Russian. She’s surrounded by people from Korea, Nigeria, all over Europe and her husband, Veysel, hails from Turkey. 2018 Blue Line Club Golf Outing is Sept. 2

The Finlandia Blue Line Club Golf Outing is Sunday, September 2 at the Calumet Golf Club.

RSVP on Facebook (not required)

This annual event features a three-man scramble and is open to the public. Registration is $120 per three-person team or $40 per player. All proceeds help support the men’s varsity, men’s club, and women’s hockey programs at FinnU. There will be a shotgun start at 11 a.m.
