Leading the Pride Solves Crimes with Cold Case Homicide Detective, Clem Papineau Pt. 1

Finlandia’s alumni podcast Leading the Pride is back this month and solving crimes with Cold Case Homicide Detective Clem Papineau. Unlike past alumni featured on Leading the Pride, Papineau attended Suomi College from 1975-76 but transferred before completing his associates degree in Criminal Justice.

Brittany Wadaga ’16 begins Nurse Practitioner position in Hancock clinic

Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center (UGL) has welcomed Finlandia University alumna Brittany Wadaga, NP, to their team of family medicine providers. She will be serving patients at UGL’s Hancock Family Health Center – Family Practice and will also assist with seeing patients at other UGL locations as needed.

Finlandia Homecoming set for October 3-5, 2019

Finlandia’s Homecoming 2019 date has officially been set. Student activities will take place beginning the week of September 30, with specialized alumni events October 3-5.

Leading the Pride stays close to home with Robin Meneguzzo, NP (’11)

Leading the Pride keeps it close to home this month with local alumna, Robin Meneguzzo, NP (‘11).  Meneguzzo is a Hancock native who graduated from FinnU with a degree in nursing. She went on to pursue her Master’s degree online from the University of Cincinnati. Finlandia Fridays prepares to give thanks with Olivia Myers

Coordinator of External Relations Olivia Myers dropped by Finlandia Fridays this week to discuss an exciting event that will be taking place November 27- Giving Tuesday.

“Giving Tuesday is a result of combatting the idea of spending for the holidays by donating to the non-profit of your choice,” stated Myers. Finlandia donors can triple their gifts made on Giving Tuesday thanks to two matches

Finlandia donors can triple their gifts this Giving Tuesday, as the university will have two matching incentives:

A member of the Board of Trustees has agreed to match all donations dollar for dollar that are made on Giving Tuesday, up to $20,000.

Finlandia is also participating in Facebook’s Giving Tuesday program, in which they will match the first $7 million donated that day.

All donations received this Giving Tuesday will go toward FinnU’s annual scholarship programs to help [...]

New Finlandia Alumni Directory allows Finlandia/Suomi alumni to reconnect

Finlandia alumni now have the opportunity to connect with former classmates, current students and other alumni across the country thanks to the new Finlandia Alumni Directory. The directory comes as a result of the 2018 Alumni Engagement survey.
