The Finnish American Reporter recently received the Finlandia Foundation National Award of Excellence for 2021. Founded in 1986, the FAR is the largest and most widely circulated newspaper for Finns in North America. Finlandia’s Financial Aid department recently welcomed alumna Jenna Rajala (’15) as the new Coordinator of Student Accounts. Rajala started her higher education journey as a Finlandia student in 2004 and returned to finish her Physical Therapist Assistant degree at the university in 2015.

Dean of Enrollment Anthony Schwass joins Finlandia Fridays this week to talk about the admissions team’s new campaign, 60 in 60.
“There are roughly 60 high schools and career technical education centers, or CTE’s, in the U.P. and we’re planning on visiting them all in 60 days,” Schwass said. “We aren’t just popping in once and not coming back until the next year.
