Business students launch new student-run podcast, FinnU Overview

March 25, 2021

The Finlandia Podcast Network is adding a new show to it’s repertoire thanks to two International School of Business students.

FinnU Overview will share what it’s like to be a student at Finlandia University. The show is completely student-run and recorded and edited by hosts Jakob Vettori (Marketing) and Joe Watson (Accounting). In the first episode of FinnU Overview, which dropped March 25, Vettori and Watson, two life-long friends and Hancock natives, introduce themselves, the show and what dive right in to their experience.

The pair introduce themselves before giving a brief tour of key buildings on campus. They also provide updates on happenings around campus, Finlandia athletics and welcome new commits to the sports teams for the fall 2021 semester before diving into what their own experience has been like.

“Even though it is a small school, you can get the perks of a small school,” said Watson, who is a sophomore. “You can have good communication with professors and get the help you need and it’s really easy to find.”

FinnU Overview will be available every other week on the Finlandia Podcast Network. The logo was created by Art Therapy major Casana Ryynanen. Listen to the full episode below and subscribe so as not to miss upcoming episodes.
