Registration for Summer & Fall 2020 Now Open to All Current Students

Registration for fall and summer classes is now underway for all students. Students must communicate with their academic advisor to receive their PIN. This number has been refreshed and is different from the one you would have used to sign up last semester. You can email your advisor as a form of communication at this time to work out your course schedule and to receive your PIN.

Female students with at least a 3.0 GPA are invited to apply to live in the Koskela Servant Leadership House next school year. The Koskela Servant Leadership House is a unique living and learning community for female students who are committed to personal growth and servant leadership as a means of building a vibrant and caring community.

FinnU Receives $47,589 Grant for Campus Security Technology

Finlandia University has received $47,589 from the Michigan Department of State Police and Michigan’s Campus Sexual Assault Grant Program reimbursement grant initiative towards campus security geared toward sexual assault prevention technology upgrades. The University will use these funds to add a new camera security system as well as an RFID card access system and enhance campus LED lighting in Finlandia Hall.

Finlandia Alumni Board to host second Giving Day for student textbooks on March 18

The Finlandia Alumni Board is hosting their second Giving Day on March 18, 2020. The day is dedicated to raising money to help students pay for textbooks. Last year, the FAB helped 39 students with their textbooks, raising almost $10,000. Their goal this year is to raise enough money to help 50 students.

Updated 3/12/20: With the primary concern of patron safety, the Finnish American Heritage Center’s Nordic Film Series screening for today is cancelled.

A Finnish film based on the infamous witch hunts in the Nordic countries in the 1600s is the March selection for the Finnish American Heritage Center’s Nordic Film Series. Screenings will take place at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 at the Finnish American Heritage Center.
