On Saturday night at 7:30 three Finlandia employees will be participating in a panel discussion following the showing of Sami Blood during the 41 North Film Festival at Michigan Tech.

Nordic Film Series to host Bruce Crossing-based film on November 9

Bruce Crossing-based filmmaker Kristin Ojaniemi traveled to Finland earlier this year to conduct interviews for her latest documentary. If she goes to Finland next year, it could be for a screening of her film.

Kristin Ojaniemi of Bruce Crossing will be on site for the Nordic Film Series presentation of Co-operatively Yours on Thursday, November 9 at 2 and 6 p.m. in the Finnish American Heritage Center.

Finlandia Alumni Board successfully completes $45,000 Old Main GoFundMe

Money raised to complete preservation work on FinnU’s original building

The Finlandia Alumni Board came together in the fall of 2016 for their annual on-campus meeting and set a goal: Help with restoration efforts of Old Main, the school’s iconic, original sandstone building on Quincy Street.

Work began on replacing the roof this week at Old Main, Finlandia’s iconic sandstone building.

Student PTA Club hosting Soup for Sneakers is Saturday

The Finlandia University Student Physical Therapist Assistant Club is hosting its annual Soup for Sneakers event on Saturday, October 21 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Finnish American Heritage Center.

Bring a new pair of tennis shoes for children ages newborn to 13, or purchase tickets at the door to be entered into a raffle. There will also be a silent auction. All shoes and proceeds are being donated to children locally, or given to Shoes 4 Kids to help [...]
