Student PTA Club hosting Soup for Sneakers is Saturday

The Finlandia University Student Physical Therapist Assistant Club is hosting its annual Soup for Sneakers event on Saturday, October 21 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Finnish American Heritage Center.

Bring a new pair of tennis shoes for children ages newborn to 13, or purchase tickets at the door to be entered into a raffle. There will also be a silent auction. All shoes and proceeds are being donated to children locally, or given to Shoes 4 Kids to help children across the nation.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students and free for children under 6. Tickets are available now from any students in the club or at the door. There will be assorted soups, homemade bread and drinks included for the ticket price. For more information contact the club’s advisor Geri Hawley at (906) 487-7377.
