Dr. Knoblauch presenting in Marquette on November 9

Dr. Bill Knoblauch will be lecturing in Marquette at the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center on Thursday, November 9 at 7 p.m. The title is “Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative and Project Elf.” 

About Dr. Bill Knoblauch

Dr. Knoblach grew up in Ashland WI, where he attended Northland College, earning degrees in Business & Economics (2002), and History (2003). He began his Masters program at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, but transferred to Northern Arizona University, earning (w/distinction) an MA Degree in the History of the American West. His Ph.D. is from Ohio University (Athens), where he was a two year fellow of the Contemporary History Institute. He researches and writes about Cold War politics and culture, has been published in eleven book chapters and journal articles, was mentioned in the New York Times Book Review and various pages online for his work on Video Games, and in 2017 released his first Monograph: Nuclear Freeze in a Cold War, published by UMass Press.
