Textbook Buyback at North Wind Books Feb. 25-27

February 18, 2020

Textbook Buyback will be at North Wind Books on the campus of Finlandia University beginning Tuesday, February 25. This is an opportunity for students to get top dollar back for textbooks after they’re done using them. All textbooks purchased by cash, check, credit card, financial aid, or sponsorship are eligible for buy back. North Wind Books has partnered with Nebraska Book Company to provide the opportunity to receive Cash for Books. Please have your Student ID with you for Buyback.

  • Tuesday, February 25 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 26 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 27 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Selling used books

Many books come with CDs, access codes, manuals, or other supplementary materials. When selling a book back to the buyback program, even used items must include such supplements. Books that are received without supplements typically have a much lower value or no value at all.

Condition of used books

Most used books are considered multiple use items and may contain some highlighting or writing. This is not the case for study guides, workbooks, lab / special manuals, and law books. These items must be received clean and completely free of writing, highlighting, and notes. If any of these items are received in unacceptable condition they will not be purchased.

Damaged books

Items with any kind of visible damage including but not limited to water / liquid damage, spine damage, loose or missing pages, and books with torn, taped, or missing covers are not eligible for buyback. Books must be in saleable condition to be purchased.

At the North Wind Shops of Finlandia University, you will find books and many other items to interest and tempt readers of both fiction and non-fiction, history enthusiasts, nature lovers, friends of the arts, and lighthouse and maritime buffs. There are books and gifts for travelers, titles for armchair philosophers, and books to rekindle memories of other times and places. Discover astounding photography, thought-provoking poetry and prose, and inspiring stories of early Copper Country immigrants and their contemporary decedents.
