Work-Study job openings posted for 2022-23

Finlandia University has posted its Federal Work-Study Program student job openings for the 2022-23 school year. The program, led by Marie Bonenfant, is administered and coordinated by the Office of Financial Aid and Human Resources. Finlandia receives funds each year from the federal government to administer the program and pay the students. The program encourages community service and work related to the student’s course of study whenever possible.

Finlandia honors graduating Class of 2022

On Sunday, May 1, Finlandia University held its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony honoring 84 graduates in the Class of 2022. There was standing room only in the Hirvonen Hall Auditorium with more than 700 in attendance.

In his greeting, President Johnson opened with Finlandia’s Land Acknowledgment:

Finlandia Celebrates Class of 2021 with Hybrid In-Person Commencement Ceremony

Thursday, April 29, 2021 marked a historic day in the timeline of Finlandia University. For the first time in two years, students were able to feel the jubilation of walking across the stage on graduation day, diploma in hand. FinnU to Host #CrushCOVID Week

Finlandia University will be hosting #CrushCOVIDWeek on campus from April 5-9 in the hopes of getting more students, faculty, and staff signed up for COVID-19 vaccinations.

FinnU Receives $47,589 Grant for Campus Security Technology

Finlandia University has received $47,589 from the Michigan Department of State Police and Michigan’s Campus Sexual Assault Grant Program reimbursement grant initiative towards campus security geared toward sexual assault prevention technology upgrades. The University will use these funds to add a new camera security system as well as an RFID card access system and enhance campus LED lighting in Finlandia Hall.
