Finlandia Nursing will host a flu shot clinic on Monday, October 10, from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Hirvonen Hall Gymnasium. Hancock School System and Finlandia University students, employees and family members are encouraged to attend. UP Health System Portage staff will be on-site to help administer the clinic.
Several doses of Flucelvax will be available for those with severe egg allergies. The vaccine available will be Afluria Quadrivalent. As of September 23, the most recent VIS form is available
Finlandia’s Student Health Clinic, located in Nikander Room 14A, is hosting its annual flu shot clinic on Oct. 4 from 3 – 5 p.m. Students, employees and their families are welcome to attend. Please bring your insurance cards with you. $40 is payable by cash, check or credit if no insurance is held while a receipt for reimbursement can also be provided.

As the nursing and PTA programs left their former office and classroom spaces in Nikander and Mannerheim Halls to move into the newly renovated Hirvonen College of Health Sciences, many others began taking their spots. The Financial Aid staff have moved from Old Main into Mannerheim where the former nursing faculty offices were.
This week’s Finlandia Fridays featured Assistant Professor of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner, Cindy Blake, as she discussed the new student health clinic, which officially opened this semester. Finlandia partnered with Upper Great Lakes Health to open the on-campus clinic, located in Nikander 14A. It will be open Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm and provide same-day in-person and tele-health appointments.
