On Tuesday, November 14th, at 7:00 p.m. in the Finnish American Heritage Center, let suicide prevention education specialist, Emily Linden educate you about the negative culture of “slut shaming.” Discover ways to remedy this prolific form of bullying. Kelly Tsai is an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work as a performance poet has been featured at over 700 venues worldwide. Tsai is known for her emotionally informative and thought-provoking performances. Hear her energy, wisdom, and perspective on preventing sexual violence. This event will be in the Jutila Center’s room 323.
In support of victims of sexual assault, the community is invited to wear teal, the color of sexual assault awareness. Activities will be hosted by the Finlandia Student Senate outside Finlandia Hall prior to the Finlandia Lions vs. Robert Morris Eagles football game at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7 at the McAfee field.
Join the First Thursday Art and Design Pizza lunch at 12:00 pm on October, 5. Following the lunch, proceed to the Reflections Gallery on the second floor. There, you will find the Clothesline Project, a collection of stories from sexual assault survivors and words of solidarity from supporters, presented on t-shirts.

Finlandia University has been in heavy pursuit to grow its presence on Snapchat and is inviting you to be a part of it. Finlandia’s Snapchat (FinlandiaU) posts daily to inform its students and staff about upcoming events and other ways to be involved within the community. Recently the account visited a local tradition, a mid winter celebration known as Heikinpäivä.
