Finlandia Alumni Board donates to student support initiatives

Student support initiatives at Finlandia University provide opportunities for alumni, families and friends to remove barriers and promote academic and spiritual success for all students. These initiatives are characterized by selfless devotion, endless generosity and support.

49 students selected for Alumni Association Textbook Awards

The Finlandia Alumni Board (FAB) has selected 49 students for its second annual Alumni Association Textbook Awards. Presenting the first awards for 2021 were Haley Makela (’19), pictured left, and Laura Bianucci (’13), pictured right. Receiving the first award was Haley Bianucci, center, a current junior and criminal justice major at Finlandia. The award is given out in the form of a $250 textbook voucher, redeemable at North Wind Books. Over 140 students submitted applications this year.

Finlandia Alumni Board raises $15,000 for student textbooks

The Finlandia Alumni Board (FAB) started Giving Day in 2019 determined to give back to current students in the way of textbook awards. Recipients receive a gift certificate to North Wind Books in the amount of $250 to help offset the rising cost of textbooks. 35 students received textbook awards in 2019, with almost $9,000 raised. 39 Students Selected for Alumni Association Textbook Awards

The Finlandia Alumni Board (FAB) has selected 39 students for its first-ever Alumni Association Textbook Awards. The award is given out in the form of a $250 textbook voucher to North Wind Books, and winners can collect their award at North Wind Books. With over 150 applicants, narrowing it down to 39 was a daunting task.
