Finlandia Nursing receives accreditation through 2032

Finlandia University Nursing is pleased to announce that its program has received national reaccreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The program offers two tracks, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an Online RN-BSN Completion Track. The renewed accreditation was granted for 10 years, indicating that the program has consistently demonstrated quality and effective educational practices.

On Saturday, July 23, dozens of Hancock Central High School alumni gathered on the steps of Hirvonen Hall for an all-class photo at the building’s grand reopening ceremony. The former Hancock Public Schools building now serves as the proud home of Finlandia’s professionally accredited health sciences offerings.

Following the class photo, Finlandia President Tim Pinnow greeted those in attendance:

Finlandia College of Health Sciences announces plans for Towsley Foundation Grant

Since 1998, the Harry A. and Margaret D. Towsley Foundation has partnered with Finlandia University in providing instrumental funding toward technology and equipment. The Foundation’s most recent expression came as a five-year $220,000 grant to provide a robust, state-of-the-art healthcare education for FinnU College of Health Sciences students at their new facility.

Higher education resource guide releases the best institution programs for 2022 

Hancock, MIIntelligent.com has named Finlandia University one of the Best Colleges in Michigan in 2022 for the second year in a row.

Growth at Finlandia, largest incoming class in five years

This fall, Finlandia University’s overall enrollment grew by six percent with the on-campus student population increasing by nine percent. This full-time-equivalent growth brought 25 more students to campus than in fall 2020, giving Finlandia an enrollment of 430. The fall 2021 incoming class is the largest since 2016 with Finlandia’s International School of Business realizing an all-time high of 137 degree-seeking majors. Irina Sergeyeva Named 2021 Board of Trustees Rising Star Faculty Award Recipient

The Board of Trustees honored Irina Sergeyeva with the 2021 Rising Star Faculty Award at Finlandia’s Spring Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, April 29. 

Sergeyeva serves as Finlandia’s RN to BSN Program Coordinator and now Associate Professor of Nursing. She joined the university in August 2015 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix.

Finlandia University’s 2020 Baccalaureate and Commencement activities have been changed to a virtual format.

Nursing Class of 2019 Celebrates 100 Percent NCLEX Pass Rate

Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates from the class of 2019 are celebrating a 100 percent first time pass rate of their National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
