FinnU launching COVID-19 Vaccine Reporter to track percent vaccinated on campus

Finlandia University is launching a new initiative to track how many within the FinnU community have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Those who have received the vaccine can self-report their vaccine in the new COVID-19 Vaccine Reporter.

The purpose of the COVID-19 Vaccine Reporter is to collect data on vaccine distribution within the Finlandia community. MESSA covering COVID-19 testing, treatment, vaccine and virtual visits for members

MESSA is fully covering all testing and treatment for COVID-19, as well as the vaccine, for all MESSA members and their covered dependents through the end of 2021.

Finlandia University plans for return to in-person instruction for fall 2021

Finlandia University has announced its plans to return to in-person instruction for the Fall 2021.

Throughout the 2020-21 academic year, the university has provided a safe living and learning environment with a blend of multiple course delivery modalities and robust health and safety policies. These policies have followed local, state and federal guidance and regulations that have kept positive cases down and controlled community  spread.

FinnU to Resume On-Campus Visits

Starting on Monday, June 29, 2020, Finlandia University will resume on-campus visits to prospective students and their families on a limited basis. Virtual visits will continue to be an option, and may be encouraged depending on visitor status (health, location of residence, method of travel, etc.). Governor Whitmer issued the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order this morning, March 23, to temporarily suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect lives.

With that, the Department of Homeland Security guidance for “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce” includes: “Educators supporting public and private K-12 schools, colleges, and universities for purposes of facilitating distance learning or performing other essential functions, if operating under rules for social distancing.”
