Want to be a part of Student Leadership on campus? Applications are now open for Sisu Leader and Resident Assistant positions at Finlandia University! Students who are interested in applying must do so by Friday, March 18. Learn more about each position and how to apply below!

New to Fall 2022, the Sisu Leader serves as a representative of Finlandia University, the Sisu Leader (SL), formerly known as the Orientation Leader, serves as a role model and is responsible for welcoming new students to Finlandia. Sisu Leaders introduce students, through New Student Orientation (NSO), to the University and all it has to offer. After NSO the SL serves as a mentor to the first year students within their cohort, and during the fall semester, the SL will help guide them through the First Year Experience course, Sisu Seminar.

Compensation:
Commuter Student: $400 for a meal plan (50 meals)
On-Campus Student: $400 towards cost of room or dining plan

Requirement:
Have completed 24 credit hours at Finlandia

Dates of Employment:
August 21, 2022 to December 16, 2022

Interested in becoming an RA? The Resident Assistants work with other Residence Life staff members to enhance the quality of life in the residence hall by fostering community, providing academic support, and being attentive to the safety and security of residents. The RA is more than just a friendly presence; they are the crucial link in creating an environment in which students develop independence and learn to live cooperatively with others. The RA articulates to students the philosophy and policies of Student Affairs and of Finlandia and, in turn, represents the needs of students to the administration.

Compensation:
Single Room and Unlimited Meal Plan (valued at $9,668)

Requirements:
Minimum: 2.5 GPA, full-time status (12 credits/semester) and have completed 24 credit hours at Finlandia

Tentative Dates of Employment:
August 15, 2022 to May 10, 2022
