O’Neill begins as Assistant Nursing Professor for College of Health Sciences

Renee O’Neill has joined the Hirvonen College of Health Sciences faculty as an Assistant Professor of Nursing. O’Neill earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Webster University in St. Louis and her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. This will be her first year teaching at the university level and she looks forward to getting to know the other staff and students during the fall semester. 

“I am excited to be starting at Finlandia University because I love the community and appreciate the identity Finlandia has here,” O’Neill said.  

Specializing in the areas of maternal health, child health and medical and surgical nursing, O’Neill’s expertise will be a great addition to the nursing classroom environment. 

Outside of the classroom, you can find O’Neill rock hunting with her family on the beaches of the Keweenaw, cooking and playing board games.
