Marie Bonenfant (‘13) recently moved back to the Financial Aid office of Finlandia University as a Financial Aid Counselor.

She worked in the Financial Aid Office previously, then moved over to North Wind Books for a short time, but is now working as a Financial Aid Counselor once again.

Bonenfant grew up in the area and graduated from Finlandia in 2013 with a Bachelors in Psychology with a Criminal Justice minor. She loves working in the Financial Aid department because the employees get to meet and know essentially all of the students on campus.

“I’d want students to know how accessible it is,” said Bonenfant about one thing she’d want students to know about the Financial Aid department. “If you need guidance or have questions, we’re always here to help”.

Bonenfant also wants students to know that financial aid can assist students and their families by providing information on ways to pay for their education. They also can help with any FAFSA questions and, even if they don’t have an answer, they can point you in the right direction to find one. To learn more about filing your FAFSA, click here.

When she isn’t working at Finlandia, she likes spending time outdoors hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing. She also enjoys painting and reading in her spare time.

Bonenfant can be reached by email at marie.bonenfant@finlandia.edu, by phone at 906-487-7261, or in person at her office in the Old Main building Room 101.
