International School of Business hires new Assistant Professor of Management

September 13, 2021

Beth Agen recently joined Finlandia’s International School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Management.

Agen attained a Bachelor of Arts in Media Communications from St. Norbert College, an MBA with a concentration in Leadership from Liberty University and is currently completing her doctoral thesis for a Doctorate of Education, EdD, in Organizational Leadership: Organizational Development, from Grand Grand Canyon University. Agen brings more than 20 years of management experience to the new position including work on accreditation for three different organizations.

“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have had a variety of experiences that have taken me down many roads less traveled,” Agen said. “I’ve worked for a multinational consumer package goods company and for a five-person IT consulting firm. I’ve worked with rock stars and C-suite leaders, and I’ve worked for non-profit and for-profit organizations. The mixture of experiences has given me a unique lens with which to see the world and how organizations operate in business.”

Agen is most excited to use real-life examples of her management experience to enhance the information from textbooks. She looks forward to being around the energy and enthusiasm of the students.

In her spare time, Agen likes to spend time with her husband, Brian, and their dogs along with being a prolific painter of Lake Superior and the Upper Peninsula skies.

Beth Agen can be reached via email at beth.agen@finlandia.edu or by phone at (906) 487-7221.
